Building software with soul
Credwriter is brought to you by Social Impact Software. Our mission is to get more organisations and businesses using software in a way that makes the world better. We try to build software that makes people feel good when they use it. We believe software should have personality and make the people who use it feel good. Credwriter started as a google form we used to help our friends write better badges. It's based on lots of experience and learning but is only a software baby, with big dreams and ambitions, so it’s still in need of love and care. As the first generation of Credwriter users, we ask that you be gentle.
When something doesn't work, or goes slow, or just isn't as good as you want it to be, don't give up - just let us know and we will fix it.
If you decide to become one of the Credwriter community THANK YOU for trusting us and have fun. If you decide not to use us right now, THANK YOU for checking us out and don't be a stranger. We’ll be here if you change your mind!
Big love
Ruby, Jon and Lee
The recognition revolution - Why Cred?
We use the term CRED deliberately. It is more than simply a shortened form of credential. We think of Cred as professional recognition. Giving someone Cred is about recognising someone's professional expertise and experience. People thrive off Cred - when you receive recognition or praise, your brain releases dopamine and serotonin and much of our behaviour at work or in education is in search of that buzz.
On the flip side when people don't feel recognised, or noticed at work or in education, they find other ways of gaining Cred which for an employer or educator perspective can be somewhat problematic.
Although it's easy to say “well done” or “good job” it can take time to craft a well thought through piece of praise or recognition and even harder to get that praise into a verifiable format, like a digital credential.
We built Credwriter so that any organisation, business or charity can craft high quality credentials in minutes - removing the barriers to people receiving high quality, regular, praise and recognition and fueling what we like to think of as the recognition revolution.
